PERSECUTION – WAIT TILL THE LIGHT DAWNS

In life, at times, when the tide is running against us, life becomes difficult to swim, and each passing moment may seem like hell. This is precisely when we are not to lose sight of the truth, hold on to it, with all that we have, and wait patiently till the tides subside. This is the only way, unfortunately, and *we have to learn to wait upon, God our LORD, to act on our behalf, and shine His light upon us,* through the thick clouds of darkness. He surely will shine His light upon us.
– “4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.” – Psalm 112:4

Let us read this verse again, and see the light, that is shining. 
– Darkness is a reality, and we need to realise it.
– Darkness has its own power and it can and will, do its best, to pin us down in its grips.
– All glory to God, the light WILL surely ARISE for the upright in heart and habits.
– Shining of God’s light is a certainty…it will surely shine.

We as Christians, should understand this clearly that, our journey in this world is fraught with dangers. The powers of darkness wishes to continue to keep us in it’s cold embrace. Thomas Hartwell Horne [1730-1792 AD] commenting on Psalm 112, observes…
– “While we are on earth, we are subject to a threefold ‘darkness;’ the darkness of error, the darkness of sorrow, and the darkness of death.”

Darkness is a reality, and it wants to project itself, as a thing, that has an imposing power, which can cover anything and everything. This is the illusion that darkness wishes to create for itself, in our hearts and minds. The intention of such an illusion is, to scare the truth, into meek submission. 

O Christian, do not be fooled by the power of darkness. Truth, which is God Himself, is also the LIGHT. Have we forgotten what our LORD said…
– “6 Jesus said to him, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE…” – John 14:6
– “12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” – John 8:12

The reality and the strength of truth is light, which can pierce through any darkness, and through all its thickness. A small little lamp can shatter even the darkest of darkest darkness…such is the power of light. So let us not get confused and disoriented, because of how the powers of darkness want to project its power. The LORD who is the LIGHT, and the TRUTH, will guide us through, on this journey, and enable us to arrive at our intended destination. When we walk in the paths of God, He will lead us into all life. Therefore, let us wait patiently upon God, to let Him shine His light, upon us, and upon all that is happening around us. Even so, the LORD help us.
