For a Christian, both, the troubles, and our cries to LORD, are common…for some, may be, more common. King David was many a times in a difficult and critical situation. There are times he was unsure if he would come out alive. This is clear from some of his Psalms.
Whatever David went through, one thing was constant in his life – his faith in YAHWEH never wavered, and he moved forward in the conference, that the LORD will hear his cry, and help him in all his troubles. He knew, that his God will answer his cry for help. This is David’s strength.
We see the same in Psalm 86. Let us consider verse seven – “7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.” We see here, the source of David’s CONFIDENCE and STRENGTH. It is not his own intelligence, nor his skill or his ability. It God, His goodness and His grace towards His servant. The Omnipotent Source!!!
The same God who was the source of courage and strength to David, and many like him in the past, is with us too. Let us learn to trust Him in the midst of all that is happening. No matter what, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is still on the throne, and the LORD “8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8
"You should be courageous, not because of who you are and what you’ve done, but because of who God is and what He has done!"
