The LORD our God has committed Himself to our well-being, welfare, safety and security. We don’t need to have any doubts about it. The point of concern for us should be, ‘Are we are willing to trust God, and place our life, and all that is troubling us, into His hands?’
The Word of God in Proverbs 29:25 says that “…whoever trusts in theLORD shall be safe.” It simply means, We have to trust God, His ability, and His love to care for us, and our welfare.
Whoever does that will be safe – literally “SECURE.” Secure is a word which indicates the presence of danger. It indicates that the danger is strong and forceful, therefore it requires for us to be placed in a secure place. What better place of security that God?
However, there is something to know about God. He doesn’t work according to our ideas, advises and timeframe. He has His own plans and ways. We have to simply trust Him and His judgement. He may still the storm. He may decide to take us through it. He may stop the enemy. He may simply “throw us” to the lions. We need to trust Him regardless of what will happen. This is trust and faith!
It requires a radical kind of trust and faith, to place our lives in the hands of God. Untill and unless we are willing to do that, we cannot and will not see the safety and security that is available in the LORD. This is radical trust!
“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.” – Psalm 9:10
"We cannot always trace God's hand, but we can always trust God's heart."
