The LORD God Almighty, is the One who created all things. As the Creator, He knows everything, about everything. He is the Omniscient God. If there is a malfunction, and things are not going well; the Creator knows how to rectify it and restore it. He is the ‘all knowing’ God!!!
Such knowledge helps us immensely, especially, when we are going through tough times. Tough times will come in different shapes and sizes. We have to face them in our lives for sure. Whoever we are, and whatever may be our socio-economic position in life, storms and struggles will present themselves at every bend; at odd times, and in unexpected ways. Such is the reality of life.
What matters, when storms and struggles hit us is, who is with us. Psalm 91 is a wonderful example of God, who is our Saviour, and the Shelter, in all our Struggles and Storms – “1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” – Psalms 91:1-2
True to His Word, the LORD Jesus, stilled the storm – Matthew 8:23-27; also found in Mark 4:35–41; Luke 8:22–25. The words that Jesus spoke to the disciples help us in our storms and struggles too – “26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?….” – Matthew 8:26
Are we afraid of the Storm raging in our lives? Do the waves scare us? Are the waters and the wind threatening to drown and destroy us? Let us not be afraid. Let nothing that is happening around us disturb us. The LORD of all creation is our LORD and Saviour! He will stand with us, in all our struggles, and all our storms. Let us trust the LORD, and wait upon Him. He will surely save us. He has done it in the past, and He will doing it even now. Let us wait upon God – “13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” – Psalm 27:13-14
"There are storms of this life still to be met, so get behind Christ by following him in the path of duty. If you never go anywhere but where Christ leads the way, you need not be afraid of storms, for they will beat upon him more than upon you."
