How things are panning out in our lives, need not necessarily disturb and trouble us. It is not because, we are brave and brilliant, and can handle any and every situation. May, far from it, it so because, we place our trust in the LORD Jesus Christ, and walk in faith and obedience to Him. To put it in the young shepherd boy, David’s words…
– “37…The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine…” – 1 Samuel 17:37
The LORD has many comforting and reassuring words, to all who are weary and tired. He put it down in writing, exclusively for us, and our encouragement, in His Word, the Bible. One such reassuring promise, is found in, Proverbs 23:18…
– “18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
WE HAVE A FUTURE!!!
The word “end” in “For surely there is an end” literally means “future.” Therefore, we have a future. We have the hope of a better and bright future…regardless of all that is happening in and around us. What a word of encouragement!!!
OUR EXPECTATION SHALL NOT BE CUT OFF
This us the icing on the cake!!! The LORD who called us, will not abandon us. He will stay the full course with us, in all our ups and downs. He will accomplish all that He intends to do in us, and through us. HalleluYah!!! We have nothing to worry about.
Let us look at Hebrews 10:19-24, which reassures us of the hope, and the future, that is ours, in Christ Jesus, our LORD, and our Redeemer.
– “19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Let us put aside, all our doubts and our concerns, and learn to trust the LORD, and His Word. Even so the LORD help us.
"The resurrection of Jesus is the "assurance" or pledge God has given that his revelation is true and worthy of acceptance. The "full assurance of faith" is a fulness of faith in God which leaves no room for doubt."
