THE ADVENT – THE WORLD’S RESPONSE

The LORD Jesus, who came to seek and save the lost, has given an invitation to the fallen world, “24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” – John 5:24. Peter preaching to the people, says, “38…“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:38.

The above invitation will require from the world, a clear response. The world has to reciprocate to Jesus. What that would be, is in their hands. The response that the world gives, will determine their future.

The LORD Jesus, speaking to Nicodemus, in John 3:17-18, has some very important words in this regards – “17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” The Scriptures are plain and clear…there is no ambiguity.

What about us? Did we make a decision? Are we delaying it? Are we waiting for an opportune time? Today is the day, says the Bible, for there may or may not be another tomorrow. Therefore, let us respond positively to the LORD’s invitation, if we haven’t already. May the LORD help us, and open our eyes, to His invitation, and to the life He is calling us to.
