The LORD had promised us, His children, to care for us, and to provide our needs. In simpler words, it means, God would intentionally intervene, on behalf of His children, and do all that is required, to ensure that, we are kept safe, and secure. This doesn’t mean, a total and absolute absence of troubles and struggles. It means, whatever may come our way, the LORD would intervene, on behalf of His children, to stand with us, and do all what is needful, for our good.
We see the LORD, speaking the same, through prophet Isaiah, the following words of comfort and encouragement, for us, and our journey. Isn’t it wonderful to know that, our God sees our struggles, and chooses to speak to the need? HalleluYah!!!
– “10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ 11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. 12 You shall seek them and not find them – Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a non-existent thing. 13 For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ 14 “Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the LORD And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.’ – Isaiah 41:10-14
We see the LORD, making good on His promise of intervention, when He intervened in the lives of…
– the Apostles in Acts 5
– Peter in Acts 12
– Paul and Silas in Acts 16
…when they were in a precarious position, and utterly helpless. The intervention of the LORD, turned the tables, upon all the schemes of the people, who intended ill and evil, against God’s children.
We see the same intervention of God in the life of John Wesley, the man whom God used greatly for His work, in United Kingdom. On 04 November 1743, John Wesley notes down an interesting incident in his journal. Some drama troupe was performing a play, “Trick upon Trick” or “Methodism Displayed” to insult and mock, Methodism. As the play progressed to mock Methodism, the crowd is thrown into a fit of panic, because, their seats and the stage, begin to collapse. Disregarding it, the play tried, several times, to continue with their mockery. However, every time they did so, the seats and the stage, collapsed further, until they finally gave up, and stopped the play. HalleluYah!!!
It is encouraging for us to know and realise, that the God whom we serve, is a God who truly cares for His children. Therefore, He said, “Never will I leave you, nor will I forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5 and Genesis 28:15; Deuteronomy 31:6, 8; Joshua 1:5.
May we find all our strength, inspiration and encouragement for our lives, and all that is ahead of us, in the LORD, who calls us His own. He is the “All Sufficient God.” Soli Gloria Deo!!!
"Divine intervention is the direct and tangible involvement of God in the world. It is the belief that God actively intervenes in our time on earth to bring about specific outcomes, fulfill His purposes, or respond to the prayers and needs of His people. Divine intervention is grounded in the understanding of God's omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence—qualities that affirm His unlimited power, knowledge, and presence everywhere."
