Paradox is defined as, “A seemingly absurd or contradictory statement or proposition which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true.” In simpler words, what is said, and is what has happened are exactly the opposite.
This is precisely what had happened on the Resurrection Day in Jerusalem, where the Angels announced to the women, “5…“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” – Matthew 28:5-6.
On Friday, when Jesus exclaimed “It is finished” everyone thought evil and death had won in the war with the Messiah. It was looked upon as a defeat of the LORD Jesus, and the purpose for which, he said, he had come. Everything seems to be pointing in that direction.
However, the twist in the tail is that, the story doesn’t end with Friday. The LORD seems to say, Friday is gone. But Sunday is coming!
The events of the Resurrection Day dispels any such doubts, and declares to the whole world, that what was considered a tragic defeat, is in fact, exactly the opposite, a victory achieved through the supposed ‘defeat.’ HalleluYah!
The lesson for us all – “It ain’t over, untill the LORD says so?!” It tells us, never to lose our hope, even if things appear lost. When the LORD is still on the throne, He will take care of everything. Therefore, trust the LORD, and not what we see. Let us always walk by faith in the Risen LORD!
"God has defeated Satan through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through this overwhelming victory, God has also empowered you to overcome any temptation to sin and has provided sufficient resources for you to respond biblically to any problem of life. By relying on God's power and being obedient to His Word, you can be an overcomer in any situation."
