THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY

God can be perceived by different people in different ways. Some may look at God as someone who is loving, kind and merciful. While some may see Him as unconcerned and not bothered about humans. Some others may think He is cold, distant and disinterested.

The Word of God proclaims YAHWEH to be good, gracious and merciful. “6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” – Exodus 34:6.

The Bible further says – “5 “Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding. 6 He does not preserve the life of the wicked, But gives justice to the oppressed. 7 He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous…” – Job 36:5-7.

How do we see the LORD God Almighty? Is there balance to our understanding of who our God is? Many times we tend to tilt to one side, which is a not a proper and fuller understanding of who the LORD is. Let us seek the LORD, to help us see Him, as who He is, and not as we want Him to be. So LORD help us.
