When we meditate upon the faithfulness of God, we can’t but be overwhelmed by God’s goodness, grace and mercy. The level of our overwhelming indicates our deep understanding of our own fallenness and sinfulness. At the same time, it also indicates, our deep experiential insight into God’s heart, and His demonstration of goodness, grace and mercy towards us, the undeserving people.
Faithfulness of God is seen in all aspects of our lives. God’s faithfulness is seen in God providing our needs; in God protecting us from harm and danger; in God standing with us in all our struggles, sufferings and storms; in God granting us His favour, and blessing us, and our families. The list goes on and on.
– “21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” 25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. 26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD. 27 It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.” – Lamentations 3:21-27
It is good for us to meditate upon the faithfulness of God, day and night. May we never forget that, it is the faithfulness of God that has kept us safe and secure thus far. Let us remember this, and ever be grateful and thankful to the LORD. Even so the LORD help us.
"The mercies of God are described as unfailing, emphasizing their perpetual and reliable nature. This assurance of God's mercy is a source of hope and comfort, especially in times of distress and judgment. The Hebrew word for "mercies" can also be translated as "compassions," indicating a deep, tender love that God has for His people."
