Music is an integral part of the Christian worship. Undoubtedly, the God who bestowed upon us, such an amazing gift, is keenly interested in music. God doesn’t give anything without a purpose. So also, music, just like a talent, skill or ability.
Music has the power to lift the downcast spirit, heal the wounds and take us up on a joyful note. But the most important aspect of music or songs is to Praise, Adore and Worship the LORD of all creation and our Redeemer.
Therefore, the music and the song should be Theo-centric in essence, and must focus on praise, adoration and worship of our God, for who He is, and for what He has done. If they are not so, then we need to relook at the music and the songs that we sing.
