THE SAME UNCHANGING GOD

The minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years pass us by. Life goes on regardless of all what is happening in us and around us. Sometimes life is good to us, and goes in our favour. At other times it does not go in our favour. This is the reality of life. However, as Christians we must have observed and noted that, the LORD Jesus is the same unchanging, good, righteous and gracious God, as He had ever been.

The Bible’s tells us that, the LORD our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the same unchanging God, regardless of all what is changing in and around us. 
– “8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8

Asaph, writing Psalm 77, says something very significant in verse ten, which we all should realise and arrive at the same conclusion, as him.
– “10 And I said, “This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.” – Psalm 77:10

Asaph declares that, even though what is happening in and around us is causing us anguish, we should “…remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.” Asaph is calling all the faithful ones of the LORD to remember the goodness of God. Such an exercise will help us remind ourselves that God is good, and that He is with us always, despite how things may appear on the horizon.

Asaph does not stop by saying just that. He goes even further to say something very important and very practical, which will greatly help us too, in all the changing times and seasons. Asaph says…
– “11 I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. 12 I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.” – Psalm 77:11-12

Asaph takes three actionable points to move forward at all times and seasons, in his life.  
– I will REMEMBER the works of the LORD
– I will also MEDITATE on all Your work
– I will TALK of Your deeds.

The three things which Asaph practiced in his life – REMEMBER, MEDITATE and TALK about, are the three things which reflect his faith and trust in God Almighty, the God of the Bible. It is good for us also, to do the same, even today. 

Life is dynamic and keeps moving on constantly. However, our LORD is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY, and FOREVER. As life goes on in its times and seasons, we should steadfastly look at our LORD Jesus Christ, and continue to walk our journey, REMEMBERING, MEDITATING and TALKING all about what our LORD had done thus far in our lives. Even so, the LORD Jesus help us.
