Persecution of Christians is based on pure hate of hell, towards God, and all that is His, having its roots in the evil one. So, let us not attach any human face to it, even though we see a face.
Many of us may ask, why does a loving God allow suffering of His children? Richard Wurmbrand, a Pastor from communist Romania, who had seen the worst of Christian persecution, has these words for us – “Even the best of Christians are troubled by the question, “Why does an almighty God send, or at least allow, suffering?” When you are nagged by thoughts like this, say to yourself, “I am still in elementary school. When I graduate from the university of Christian life, I will understand His ways better and doubts will cease.”
We know that God is good, and that he loves us and cares for us. Therefore, despite our troubling questions, and lack of any proper answers, let us continue to trust the LORD, for He knows it all.
"It has become a settled principle that nothing which is good and true can be destroyed by persecution, but that the effect ultimately is to establish more firmly, and to spread more widely, that which it was designed to overthrow. It has long since passed into a proverb that "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church."
