All of us, we owe so much to the Christian missionaries, who, heeding to the call of the LORD, had come to spread the gospel. They did so, out of deep love and commitment to God, and a love, unseen, except in Christ, towards the fallen human beings. Can we ever forget the missionaries, their love and their sacrifices? I don’t think so.
Sadly, the lands that loved the LORD deeply; the lands that sent missionaries far and wide unsparingly; the people that gave for God’s work, sacrificially and generously – are now in a sad state. It pains me, and I am sure you too, to see them in such a situation.
What had happened? The lands which stood for Christ Jesus, the Saviour, are now, in many ways, acting against the LORD God Almighty. How did such a thing came about? What happened?
The best thing we can do, for our dear brothers and sisters in those lands, is to pray for them, and their people. I do pray for all those lands that sent men, money and material out of love for the lost. When we were in need they stood with us…many still do. When they are in need, we should stand with them. Isn’t this the brotherly love that the Bible talks about, and wants us to live by? They need the LORD. We can and should pray to the LORD for them and their welfare.
May we always pray for all those dear people. May the LORD help us to pray for them. “3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” – Philippians 1:3-5.
"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."
