Life in general is fraught with many ups and downs. Added to that is, our innate rebellious nature, which eagerly seeks to disobey, and rebel, against the LORD God Almighty. The storms in our lives can disturb us and our peace. We may be scared and paralysed. Such a situation is perfectly possible, for any Christian.
Let not such a situation, if we are going through, disturb us. Whatever may be the storms and the struggles, we need not get scared. The LORD, who called us, will lead us through it all. Yes, there would surely be, testing times…but we need not be afraid of them. The LORD will guide us through it all. Have we forgotten what Horatio Gates Spafford had written in 1873, while facing a great personal tragedy, and an excruciating pain because of it?
– “When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, “It is well, it is well with my soul. It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul.”
A Christian, is called to walk the narrow path, despite all our struggles and the storms. The LORD who called us, will walk with us, and will help us through it all. Therefore, let us learn to trust the LORD, and walk by faith, the narrow path, which our LORD had called us to walk upon. Even so the LORD help us.
"Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control: that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul. "It is well, it is well with my soul. It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul."
