THE EVERLASTING MERCY!

Psalm 118, is one of my favourite Psalms. It is a wholesome spiritual insight into who God is, and how he cares for us. Commenting on Psalm 118, Martin Luther has this to say, “Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.” His life is a reflection of this statement.

Let us see verses 1,8,9,23,24 of Psalm 118.
“1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
God is good and His mercy towards us endures forever. How wonderful!

8 It is better to trust in the LORD, Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD, Than to put confidence in princes.
God and God alone is our sure help. No one else can and will help us.

23 This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvellous in our eyes.
All that the LORD ever does is excellent and marvellous…all the time and every time. Isn’t it? It sure is!!!

24 This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Every day is a gift of God to us. Every day is a reminder of His grace and love towards us.

Therefore, let us be always thankful and grateful to the LORD…whose mercy “ENDURES” forever.
