OUR ‘ONLY’ and ‘SURE’ HOPE

HELP and HOPE are necessary in every person’s life. Without the help of others, one cannot move, nor make any progress in life. This is for sure. Without hope we do not have the energy and enthusiasm, to face the present, and look forward for tomorrow. Therefore, both HELP and HOPE are absolutely essential for an individual’s healthy growth.

However, every help is not good. To merely have the hope of a better future doesn’t suffice. Whose help we take, and what we hope for, is just as important and significant as help and hope themselves.

The king David speaking about both HELP and HOPE has this to advise us in Psalms 131:3 – “3 O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever.”

It is good for us to know as the disciples of the LORD Jesus Christ, that our ONLY and SURE help and hope is the LORD. Apart from Him, we have no help, nor any hope that is sure. Therefore, let us REMEMBER this always. Let us SEEK Him always. Let us DO what He says always.
