BEHOLD WHAT MANNER OF LOVE!

The Bible tells us that the LORD God Almighty, the Creator of all things, both the visible and the invisible, has loved us with such an ‘out of the world’ love, that we are called the sons and daughters of God. What an honour and what a privileged position!!!

John 3:16-17 tells us this good and great truth, “16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

What happens then?  Paul, writing in Ephesians 2:4-5 explains to us the same – “4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),” Dead in our sins, but made alive by His grace!!!

Therefore, “12…as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” – John 1:12 – sons and daughters of God!!!

Isn’t that amazing and great? It sure is!!! This is precisely what John writes in 1 John 3:1-3 – “1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

Therefore, let us walk the narrow way, with confidence and courage, that the LORD who called us is Faithful, and He will take care of everything. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
