“10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” – 1 Timothy 6:10
The Bible goes on to warn us about the trouble with riches – “9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” – 1 Timothy 6:9
Money and riches in themselves are not good or bad. It is heart with which we approach it. However, the tendencies to compromise and move away from the plumb line of the Word of God is, a clear and present danger with the love of money. Let us beware, and be careful and wise with our desire for money.
