Concerns and cares of life, are but natural. We do need certain things for our life and our living. What used to be once, a luxury, may be now, a necessity. For example, owning a bicycle was a luxury, and a sign of riches. However, it is now, common and normal to own one.
However, as Christians, the Word of God encourages us to look to the LORD for all our needs, and the provision of the same. It is to teach us, to have faith and trust in “the One who called us out of darkness, into His marvellous light” – I Peter 2:9.
The LORD speaking to the disciples and followers says…
“29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” – Luke 12:29-32
As the good Shepherd, it is His business to provide our needs. On our part, let us then, as the Little Flock, learn to trust and obey the LORD, for there is no other way, better than this.
"When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of our lives. Our love of the Lord will govern the claims for our affection, the demands on our time, the interests we pursue, and the order of our priorities."
