Each of us pray and seek the LORD, in times of need, for His grace and mercy to be upon us. Such a prayer is an acknowledgment about God’s ability to help us, and our inability to help ourselves. It is always good to look to the LORD.
David, who knew this very well, always made it a point to seek the LORD. He did learn at a very young age, that the LORD is the only sure help. Therefore, David demonstrates such courage and confidence in the face of struggles and storms. In Psalm 30, he does the same. David concludes this Psalm by reminding himself, and also us, through these words about the LORD’s help – “11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” – Psalm 30:11-12.
What are we troubled about? Let the words of David encourage us, and also help us, to look to the LORD, to lean upon Him, and be rest assured of, His help and His strength, for all that we are struggling with. All glory to the LORD!!!
"Hope is not dependent on peace in the land, justice in the world, and success in the business. Hope is willing to leave unanswered questions unanswered and unknown futures unknown. Hope makes you see God’s guiding hand not only in the gentle and pleasant moments but also in the shadows of disappointment and darkness."
