Faithfulness of God is a subject that cannot be fully grasped by fallen human beings, even though we are redeemed by the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ. It is beyond our ability to properly comprehend the goodness, grace, mercy and love of our Creator and Redeemer towards us. We can see albeit dimly through our personal experience of God’s unfailing faithfulness in our lives. It is not even a tiny fraction of our God’s faithfulness towards us. With what little we are able to grasp of God’s faithfulness, we surely are overwhelmed beyond doubt.
– I am grateful and thankful to the LORD Jesus, for CALLING me out of darkness into His marvellous light, so that I can proclaim His goodness – 1 Peter 2:9-10.
– In all these years God had graciously PROVIDED all what I ever needed – Psalm 34:8-10.
– For close to four decades God LED me faithfully through the thick and the thin of life – Psalm 23:2-4.
I can say with authority that working in Christian ministry is a tough act. There is opposition from every side, including our own “flesh” – the human side of it. Yet, the LORD is FAITHFUL in being right beside us through it all. He will take care of all that concerns us. This has been my experience for close to forty years. This is what I have learnt in all those years of my walk with the LORD – We are called to walk with our Good Shepherd, and that is what we ought to be doing despite the stormy gales and the boisterous waves; despite the hunger, the pain, the needs and the sufferings. We have to TRUST GOD, and STEP OUT in FAITH. When we do so, will see the hand of God miraculously working in and through us.
– “1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour…” – Isaiah 43:1-3
Even so, the LORD Jesus help us.
"[ ... ]when we have been brought very low and helped, sorely wounded and healed, cast down and raised again, have given up all hope--and been suddenly snatched from danger, and placed in safety; and when these things have been repeated to us and in us a thousand times over, we begin to learn to trust simply to the word and power of God, beyond and against appearances[....]"
