Who can explain the faithfulness of God towards us? Who can give reasons, as to why God is so faithful towards us? Can anyone even attempt to explain God’s faithfulness?
The Bible has these words, written down for our understanding, about God and His faithfulness.
– “5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.” – Psalm 36:5
– “22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
– “11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.” – Revelation 19:11
Prophet Jeremiah, who wrote the book of Lamentations, caught the pulse of God’s faithfulness. He explains this beautifully for us in Lamentations 3:22-23.
– “22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
We are not consumed because of LORD’s many mercies, and because of God’s compassion towards us, which faileth not. Oh what comfort it brings to all, who can comprehend, God’s mercy and compassion! Worthy are we to be destroyed utterly. Yet, because of God’s mercy and compassion, we still have breath in us.
Oh LORD, but for your mercy, compassion and faithfulness, where would we have been? What would have happened to us? Such amazing love is because, God is faithful towards us, despite our faults, failure and unfaithfulness. Thank You LORD!!! Thank You LORD!!! Thank You LORD!!! Thank You for all the years gone by, and not just 2024. Thank You LORD, for 2025. May we seek God, with all our hearts, to help us be faithful to Him, in 2025. Even so, the LORD help us.
"...God's mercies are inexhaustible and perpetual. They do not come to an end, reflecting the eternal and unchanging nature of God's character. This assurance is a source of hope and comfort, especially in times of distress and uncertainty, reminding believers of God's unfailing faithfulness throughout history."
