Tears are normal and natural God given outlet for grief, pain, anguish and suffering. Our tears are precious in the sight of the LORD Jesus. When someone sheds tears because of deep anguished in their hearts, God takes notice of it. He comes down swooping like a mother eagle, to reach out and rescue its child.
– Human eyes well up with tears only when something hurts us badly, and cuts us deeply. The anguish that is experienced by our hearts is poured out in the form of tears. This why God places such great importance on our tears.
– People do cry at missed, wasted and lost opportunities too. Such tears, unless they lead us to change our attitude and approach in the right direction, do not matter much.
– Tears do come because of joy too. People do cry out of joy. When a great relief comes our way, when there was no hope of it coming, in the first place. Such tears of joy would flow out of us, because of the relief.
– We cry because of remorse and repentance too. When one realises their mistake and are deeply ashamed of it, then tears of repentance flow out of us.
– Tears well up in us, when we feel we are alone, and that there is none who understands or cares for us. Such tears are very painful.
“…our tears are a language that God understands perfectly. When words fail, when pain is too deep for expression, our tears speak volumes. They are a raw and honest expression of what’s happening in our hearts. And in His compassion, God listens to this silent language. He understands the unspoken pains, the quiet desperation, and the silent cries for help.” – Jepryll Torremoro
Whatever may the reason for our tears, let us always remember that, we have a God who truly cares for us. He is deeply concerned about us, our welfare, and our progress. He is mindful of the anguish in our hearts, and the tears in our eyes.
– “8 You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? 9 When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me. 10 In God (I will praise His word), In the LORD (I will praise His word), 11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” – Psalm 56:8-11
What a joy it is to know that we have a God who takes note of all what is happening in our lives. We are never left alone, neither are we to fend for ourselves. God is mindful, and He will act in His time, on our behalf, and for our good. – “OUR TEARS ARE CAREFULLY COLLECTED IN A BOTTLE.” – “THEY ARE WRITTEN DOWN IN GOD’S BOOK.” Oh what a relief, and what a comfort it is to have a God who cares for us thus!
– “19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; You shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; When He hears it, He will answer you.” – Isaiah 30:19
– “17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” – Revelation 7:17
– “4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4
Let us never be discouraged, nor ever feel alone and lonely. God is with us! May we always trust God and walk faithfully and obediently in all His ways. May the LORD’s approach towards us, our suffering, pain and anguish, especially our tears, help us to learn to look to God steadily, and trust Him firmly. Dear brothers and sisters, “LET GOD CARRY IT – “OUR TEARS” and we simply trust Him and wait upon Him for our help, comfort and strength. Even so, the LORD help us.
"...our tears are not just drops of salt water; they are precious in God’s sight. Each one tells a story, carries a weight, and is a testament to our journey through life. So, the next time you cry, remember God is keeping track of all your sorrows. He is collecting your tears. Not one of them goes unnoticed. He is with you in His love and compassion, valuing every tear you shed."
