YOU SHALL BE MY WITNESSES – IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON
July 12, 2026“OH THE EVER SO GRACIOUS LORD!”
July 14, 2026David writing in Psalm 28 declares “MY HEART GREATLY REJOICETH!” in verse seven.
– “7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” – Psalm 28:7
We get to see in these few words of David, his great relief, and his enthusiastic rejoicing. They speak volumes about David, his heart, his source of strength, and the context he was in.
When we consider verses one and two, where David cries out to the LORD in prayer for the situation that he is in, and then read verse seven, we can observe two very important principles, which we too can emulate in our lives.
– “1 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.” – Psalm 28:1-2
The situation that David found himself is no small thing. We get this from reading his words in verses one and two.
– “In his trouble, David felt the grave was near – and if God did not intervene he would not live long. The response and intervention of God (opposite of being silent) was what David needed and longed for.” – David Guzik
The two lessons that I could glean from this Psalm are as follows. We should REMEMBER them always, and NEVER EVER FORGET them.
– “THE LORD HEARS OUR CRIES”
– “THE LORD IS OUR SAVING STRENGTH”
1- “THE LORD HEARS OUR CRIES” – REMEMBER THIS ALWAYS
– “6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.” – Psalm 28:6
Let us know this for sure, and remember it always that, our LORD heard our cries. The LORD Jesus is not someone who is not untouched by our situation and our storms. He very well knows all our struggles, our storms and our sufferings. He care enough to hear our cries. Is this not comforting and uplifting! Yes, sure it is!!!

2- “THE LORD IS OUR SAVING STRENGTH” – REMEMBER THIS ALWAYS
– “8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.” – Psalm 28:8
We should never ever forget and remember this forever that, God Almighty, our LORD Jesus Christ is our SAVING STRENGTH – our HOPE and our HELP. He alone has the heart and the resources to help us out of all our storms, struggles and sufferings. Therefore we ought to be seeking our LORD with all our hearts, and to patiently wait upon Him to reach out and rescue us. HalleluYah! He surely will!!!

Dear brothers and sisters as we walk into a new week, I don’t know what is in your heart. I don’t know what is troubling your hearts. We don’t know how this week would shape out – good, bad or ugly. Whatever twists and turns we may encounter through this week, the one factor that we should ALWAYS REMEMBER and NEVER EVER FORGET is the fact that, our God cares for us and is interested in us and our welfare. He will surely “HEAR OUR CRIES” and the LORD will be “OUR SAVING STRENGTH” – have no doubts about this. Even so the LORD help us.
