Problems, troubles, storms and crisis will hit us. They will hit us at the least expected times, and with the ferocity of a thousand atomic bombs. We cannot survive, unless we build our capacity to face it, by leaning on the LORD, and withstand its onslaught by the strength He gives.
We should ensure for ourselves, a clean heart, and a clear conscience. This firms up the core of our strength, and will enable us to fight back. Even under severest of storms, we should stand tall with our integrity, dignity and honour intact. For this, we should cultivate a big heart, and a strong and sound mind in the LORD.
Our heart and our mind are a formidable team. They work best, when they work in tandem. However, they should work in line with the Word of God. It is of no use if our heart and mind merely work together on its own.
We should learn to trust God, and obey Him, in all aspects of our lives, regardless of how things are around us. The Word of the LORD speaks clearly on this matter, for our benefit, in Proverbs 3:5-6 – “5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” May the LORD help us.
"During our storms, you and I have the same God with us that the disciples had with them; we can trust that He is in the boat. He may or may not calm the storm immediately-we may have to endure great suffering-but He will not leave us."
