The LORD, and His unfailing faithfulness towards undeserving us, is amply made clear in the Word of God. It leaves no scope for doubt in our minds. Yet, many times, we seem to be doing the very same – doubting, if God is with us.
The writer of Psalm 116 understood the faithfulness of YAHWEH very well. The entire Psalm is all about, “Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.” The following words sum up the Psalm – “8 For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling.” – Psalm 116:8.
The LORD who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light, is not Someone who will abandon His people. This doesn’t mean in any sense, we deserve such treatment from God. The point to note is that, God’s faithfulness towards us, is, despite our faithfulness towards our LORD and Redeemer – “13 [Even] If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” – 2 Timothy 2:13.
Let us, with this knowledge, that God remains faithful towards us, seek the LORD to help us, to trust Him, and be faithful to Him all the days of our lives.
"Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!"
