The Bible tells us that “God loves the whole world!”
– “14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:14-15
The Bible further tells me that there is none who is righteous, and that all are accounted for, including those who are called the ‘Chosen’ as sinners and the enemies of God.
– “1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” – Psalm 14:1-3
– “20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin…for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;” – Romans 3:20-25
In the eyes of the God of the Bible, there is no Jew not Gentile, all are the same in His eyes.
– “26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” – Galatians 3:26-29
The God of the Bible is serious about JUSTICE, RIGHTEOUSNESS
– “6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? 7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Mica 6:6-8
Now, as the children of God, and His disciples, what should be our attitude, our motives, our thoughts, and our feelings, as we walk in this world among those who are not like us? How should we behave? How should we speak? How should our actions be? How should we be conducting ourselves?
– “16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” – Isaiah 1:16-17
– “12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?” – Deuteronomy 10:12-13
What is God expecting from us? Is God happy with way we are treating other people? Let us not fool ourselves. The God who places significant premium on obedience to His commands, expects us obey what He had already told us. Is it not fair?
– “8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying, 9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.” – Zechariah 7:8-10
– “14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. 15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.” – Amos 5:14-15
– “16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. 19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.” – Deuteronomy 10:16-19
In simpler words, God is expecting is to be like Jesus Christ of Nazareth, in our thoughts, words and deeds. MY BIBLE TELLS ME that, YAHWEH is the “GOD WHO LOVES THE WHOLE WORLD!” Even so the LORD help us to love the whole world, just like our LORD.
"'For God so loved the world' ...emphasizes the universal scope of God's love, extending beyond Israel to all humanity. The Greek word for "world" (kosmos) indicates the entirety of creation, highlighting God's inclusive plan. This love is rooted in the Old Testament, where God's covenant with Abraham promised blessings to all nations (Genesis 12:3). The love of God is a central theme throughout Scripture...which speaks of God's love manifested through sending His Son."
