Finances are one of the first things one discusses, whenever someone is starting a new work or project. So much so, that sometimes projects don’t get started, or even fail, for the lack of money. Christian families and ministries also fail many times, for the lack of money.
Money is important. There is no denying about it. What the Bible exhorts the believer, is to look to the LORD for all our “”supplies”” and nowhere else.
“”My God shall supply all your needs…”” [Phil 4:19]
The issue at stake is not, whether one needs money to run a family or a project. The issue is, where are we looking at, to run our families and projects. Do we look to the LORD, or devise plans and methods to raise our own money?
The point to be noted – is the LORD our first priority, or is it something else? This will determine, what we are doing about the first commandment.
Please note – with God, supplying our needs is never a matter of concern. Rather it is a foregone conclusion. He will supply all our needs. Better begin to trust Him, and wait upon Him for all your needs.
“”The LORD is my Shepherd and I shall not want.”” [Ps 23:1]
