Life for a Christian is just the same as it is for anyone in this world. We hunger just like everyone else. We have needs and necessities just like everyone else. Sometimes our need can weigh in heavily upon us, just like anyone else in this world. At times, some needs can crush us under its weight, just like anyone else in this world. However, the difference between a Christian, living in this world, and the others in the world is the presence of the LORD Jesus in our lives, and His promises to protect us and provide our needs. HalleluYah!!!
Dear brothers and sisters, the God whom we serve, He does not change. “HE IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER” – Hebrews 13:8. God’s character is unchanging. He is good, and He will always be good. He said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5. This simply means, He is there with us at all times, watching over us. He stands with us in all our struggles and our storms. He is the all sufficient God in all our needs. He is our Jehovah Rapha in our sickness. He is Jehovah Jireh in all our needs. He is Jehovah Shammah, the One who is there with us at all times, including our dark times.
What is it that is troubling us this morning dear brothers and sisters? Is it the needs of our life? Our health? Our future? Whatever it may be, let us realise this that the LORD Jesus knows it all. Let us learn to trust Him and lean upon Him. He will guide us with His righteous right hand, and will lead us through anything and everything that the life may throw at us.
– “19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
– “25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” – Matthew 6:25-27
The Berean Study Bible Notes commentary on the words “…your heavenly Father knows…” from Matthew 6:32 should strengthen us and empower us to trust the LORD Jesus more firmly than ever, for any and every need that we may have.
– “God is not distant from the ordinary needs of His children. The One who fed Israel, meaning “God contends,” with manna in the wilderness, sustained Elijah during famine, and cares for the birds of the air knows every circumstance His people face. “Father” speaks of covenant love and personal care, while “heavenly” declares His sovereign power over all creation. His knowledge is not merely awareness; it is the attentive knowledge of One who provides according to His wisdom and purpose.” – Berean Study Bible Notes
May we seek the LORD Jesus always. May we learn to trust Him always. May we realise that our God will provide all our needs, because HE is OUR PROVIDER!!! Even so, the LORD Jesus help us.
"Even when prices keep rising, somehow our table is never empty. We may not have everything, but we always have something to eat. That's how we know...God has never left us. He has always provided."
