Our life was never meant to be “easy.” It was meant to be creative, constructive and complimenting each other. This most certainly involves thinking, planning, preparing and executing it well – such a thing requires forethought, intelligence, diligence and hard-work. Therefore, when God created us, He never meant our life to be easy – like in the sense of lazy – where we do nothing, but everything comes to us on a platter.
Let us read what God had said to our first parents – “28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” – Genesis 1:28
Every single word of the thirty-four words used, doesn’t come to fulfilment and fruitfulness without our active, enthusiastic and intentional engagement in the work entrusted to us. We are urged, in the process of fulfilling our responsibilities, to use our intelligence, be diligent in what we are doing, and work hard for a meaningful and fruitful life.
May the LORD help us to be diligent, and not be lazy, with all that we are blessed with.
"God commands these people, made in His image, to multiply so that they, and thus God's image, will fill the earth."
