MARCH WITH MONEY – 3

Today is ‘International Women’s Day.’ Women, as intended by our Creator, have a very important role to play in the family, and the society. The Bible asks a question in Proverbs 31:10 – “10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” The Word of God, goes on to talk about one such woman, in the following twenty one verses.

The virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 is “thrifty, wise, saves for the rainy day, plans ahead, prepares in advance for unforeseen circumstances, kind, generous, helpful, shrewd, tactful, sharp, foresighted….” I have seen such women. My mother is one such woman, and many in my mother’s generation.

A woman, as intended by God, has a significant role to play in the success of the institution called, family. A woman who contributes for the welfare and well-being of the family is a ‘paradox’ of sorts. She is gentle, bit not weak. She is sensitive, but not fragile. She is wise and strong, but not arrogant and proud. She is kind, generous and caring…she is a woman the Creator designed to be.
