Living on credit is a way of life promoted by many. Life lived on borrowed money, is not a good way of building our lives. We need financial help from outside, but if we live on credit, then our financial health is not so good, nor great.
We have to earn, to live our lives. Not earn, so that we pay our debts. When one lacks self-control over the desires, and wish to have them at any cost, is not only not good, but is a pit of quicksand. We seem to be in control, but are slowly sinking.
This is the advise from the Word of God – “6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” – Proverbs 6:6-8
The perfect antidote for debt filled life, is self-control over desires and expenses, savings, and sound and systematic financial planning. Let us learn to living within our means. Let our expenses be well under the income we earn. We should give a part of our income to God, and a part must be for savings. May the LORD help us.
"Look everywhere you can to cut a little bit from your expenses. It will all add up to a meaningful sum."
