Many times we get entangled in things which are totally unconcerned with us. The heart and the intention may be good, but it may still cause problems. Life and its situations are complex and complicated. It can throw many a good man off balance. So what do we do about them?
The Bible has an advise for us about such matters – “17 He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own, is like one who takes a dog by the ears.” – Proverbs 26:17. If one is not careful and wise, we can have a big problem in hand.
The wisdom is this – One: Do not get involved in problems that are not connected to us. Two: Learn to observe, analyse and then conclude, whether it is wise to get involved in a quarrel, that is not ours. Thirdly: There is never a clear black and white situation in any dispute. So we have to be wise, if we have to get involved. Better is to mind our own business…there is plenty to do on that end.
"3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling."
