Praise comes to us naturally, when our hearts are thinking about the goodness, grace and mercy of God more than anything else. When we gratefully and thankfully remember all what the LORD our God had done for us, then words of praise flow automatically and unceasingly out of our lips. The key to praising God is to remember all what He had done for us thus far.
– “8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” – Psalm 107:8
Sadly we remember God during our struggles and storms, and seek His face early and earnestly. However, many times we forget the moment our need is met by God in response to our prayers. This ingratitude is one of the core human nature of the fallen man.
– “Ingratitude towards God is not merely a social or ethical issue but a spiritual one. It reflects a heart that is turned away from God, failing to recognize His sovereignty and grace. The Scriptures consistently call believers to cultivate a spirit of thankfulness, recognising that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17).” – Topical Encyclopaedia – Bible Hub
Dear brothers and sisters, how do we see ourselves this morning? Do we count ourselves as people who are grateful and thankful to the LORD Jesus, for all what we have received from His hand? Let us not stop praising and thanking God for all what He had graciously done for us. May we remember all what we have received from the LORD Jesus. May we remember to praise Him and thank Him all the days of our lives. Even so, the LORD Jesus help us.
"Believers are encouraged to practice gratitude as a daily discipline, acknowledging God's provision and grace in all circumstances. The Apostle Paul, writing to the Thessalonians, instructs, "Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). This attitude of gratitude fosters a deeper relationship with God and aligns the believer's heart with His purposes."
