A Christian is entrusted with a lot of responsibility by the LORD God Almighty – “9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
“20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” – 1 Peter 2:9, 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
We are expected with be engaged in this work that our LORD entrusted with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. The same is talked about by the Psalmist in Psalms 126:5-6 ‘5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
How are we faring? Are we on our LORD’s business? Let us be mindful of the responsibility entrusted to us by our Creator and Redeemer. Let us show the seeds of Christian faith in tears. Let our lives speak of the LORD and His transforming power. May the LORD be lifted up and glorified in and through our lives. So God help us.
"Can we be casual in the work of God -- casual when the house is on fire, and people in danger of being burned?"
