“THE FIVE SOLAS OF THE REFORMATION” – THEIR RELEVANCE FOR US TODAY
October 31, 2026Faithfulness of God is a subject that cannot be fully grasped by fallen human beings. Even though we are redeemed by the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, still we cannot fully grasp His faithfulness. It is beyond our ability to properly comprehend our LORD’s faithfulness, His goodness, grace, mercy and love of towards us. We can see albeit dimly through our personal experience of God’s unfailing faithfulness in our lives. Honestly, it is not even a tiny fraction of all the faithfulness that our God shows towards us. With what little we are able to grasp of God’s faithfulness, we surely are overwhelmed beyond doubt…if we can grasp it.
The Bible speaks very elaborately about the faithfulness of God our Creator and Redeemer. Here under are a few verses for us to read, realise, recognise and remember God’s faithfulness.
– “9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;” – Deuteronomy 7:9
– “9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 1:9
– “3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3
– “5 Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.” –” – Psalm 36:5
Dear brothers and sisters, the LORD whom we serve is absolutely faithful and trustworthy. Have you tasted His faithfulness? Have we experienced our LORD’s goodness, grace, mercy and faithfulness in our lives? The Psalmist declares…
– “5 Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast. 7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. 8 They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. 9 For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.” – Psalm 36:5-9
May we always realise God’s unmerited faithfulness in our lives. May we always remember our LORD’s loving faithfulness poured into our lives. May we always talk about our Redeemer and Master’s faithfulness. Even so the LORD Jesus help us.
