The Bible, which is the written Word of God, clearly and accurately speaks about the human heart. No one has ever given such an insightful description of our hearts. The LORD says, “9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” – Jeremiah 17:9
What we miss many times, is to grasp the heart of God, who chose to deal with us, the sinful and wicked people, as we are, in love, forgiveness, kindness and generosity. Herein is demonstrated to us, the heart of God, who despite our sin and wickedness, loves us, and seeks to help us.
“10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” “8…God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” “10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
“17…Jesus…said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.””23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” “10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” – Luke 19:10, Romans 5:8, 5:10, Mark 2:17, Romans 6:23, John 10:10-11
May the LORD help us to, not only know the heart of God, who had, unconditionally demonstrated, His goodness and grace, towards undeserving people like us, but also to show our gratitude in obeying Him with all our hearts. Even so the LORD help us.
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved."
