Today is the first working day of a new month. March especially is an important month. All who file their income tax returns, they get to work gathering the details of their income and expenditure for the whole financial year. The schools would be preparing to complete their academic syllabus. What about Christians?
There is no special day or special month for a Christian. Every morning is a good and great morning to us. Every day is special and significant to us. Every day, week, month and year is important and great to us. This is so because life that we get to see each new morning is a gift from the LORD Jesus Christ, to us. Yes, we can and should shout aloud “THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE” along with the Psalmist who wrote Psalm 118.
– “24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
Whatever may be our thoughts this morning. Whatever may be pressing upon us this morning. Whatever issues and concerns may be occupying the space in our hearts and minds. Let us not be gripped by them, even though they may be important matters and concerns. Let us look to the LORD our God who has gifted to us, this beautiful morning. Let us respond with gratitude, thanks and praise. The LORD who took thought to gift us this day, will help us get through with all what is in our hearts and on our minds.
THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE, AND WE WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT! Let us REJOICE and be GLAD this morning, and all through the day. Let us remember, and never ever forget, “THE LORD HAS MADE THIS DAY TOO!” therefore, our REJOICING is appropriate – “LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT” HalleluYah!!!
"[The Bible] ...invites us to greet every dawn—especially the day of God’s saving work—with worshipful anticipation. Because the Lord Himself has crafted each day, [therefore] we purpose, by His grace, to rejoice and be glad, trusting His sovereignty, celebrating His salvation, and embracing the gift of today."
