Numbers simply don’t matter. If one watched the “Great Migration” of the wildebeest, by National Geographic, we will know what significance numbers actually hold. Thousands of wildebeests, and a handful of lions; yet the writ of the lions runs unchallenged.
The strength is not in the “brawn.” The strength is in the “brains.” The strength is not in the quantity. The strength is in the quality. Numbers don’t indicate anything except the size of the crowd. Crowds shouted hosanna on the Palm Sunday. The same crowds shouted crucify on Friday. The “crowds” don’t count much.
Hitler had millions believing him and his ideology. Jesus had just twelve, who turned the world upside-down. Hitler and his followers are dead and gone. Jesus still stands tall, with millions willing to follow Him faithfully. The “crowds” don’t matter.
Let us remember, what counts is not the numbers. Be it walking with God our Redeemer, or executing the responsibilities entrusted to us – what matters is “brains,” “quality” and “excellence.” Let us make it count for the LORD who… “11…has made everything beautiful in its time…” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
"Your number of "followers" does not make you better than anyone else. Hitler had millions, Jesus had 12. "How many do they both have now?"
