TRUST OUR SHIELD!

One of things that everyone needs and desires earnestly is for the safety and the security in our lives. We make every effort to safeguard ourselves, and all that is close to our hearts…beginning with our loved ones. However, our ability, and the resources towards safety and security are limited, to say the least.

The LORD has something to speak on this subject. Agur the son of Jakeh has this to speak to us through Proverbs 30:5 – “5 Every word of God is PURE; He is a SHIELD to those who put their TRUST in Him.”

Firstly, the WORD of GOD is PURE – TESTED, REFINED and FOUND to be PURE! How wonderful it is to know this! Isn’t it? It give us such relief, that God is unlike man, and His WORD can be fully trusted.

The same is affirmed in Psalms 12:6 – “6 The words of the LORD are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.”

Secondly, the Word of God says this to us in regards to trusting God – “9 O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield.”
“11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.” – Psalms 115:9; 84:11

Hence, it is good and natural, for us to place our trust in God. Therefore, we can confidently place our trust in the LORD God Almighty for all our needs and necessities. For the LORD cares for us and is concerned about our well-being. He is the only One who truly cares for us, and our safety. There are no two opinions on it.

Let us continue to trust the LORD and seek His face for all our needs and necessities.
