THE PERFECT PEACE

Peace and tranquility is very much aspired in the world. It is also equally true, that peace has been elusive in the world till now, and it will be forever.  This is the reality of the world we live in.

However, prophet Isaiah talks about “Perfect Peace” in Isaiah 26:3-4 – “3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”

The Word of God exhorts us through the prophet, that when our hearts and minds are focused and stayed on the LORD, we have the Perfect Peace. Not just that, when we trust the LORD for all our needs, He will stand with is with all His strength. Such a peace is available only in the LORD.

When the LORD God Almighty is with us, what can disturb us? Who can trouble us? The scared disciples, in the storm hit boat, is a fine example of the peace that we can have in the LORD. A raging storm, the scared disciples, the rocking boat, and the LORD Jesus peacefully resting in the midst of it all. – Mark 4:37-41

Therefore, “6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6,7
