WERE…ARE…WILL BE…

Persecution of Christians is a subject that is not going to end any time soon. When the ways of the world are diametrically opposed to the way of the LORD, there is bound to be a clash. Persecution is nothing but that clash. John Stott says the same – “Persecution is simply the clash between two irreconcilable value-systems.” This is true – simple and straight.

It is good to know that Christians WERE persecuted… ARE being persecuted…WILL BE persecuted – this is a reality the Christians and the Church should never miss or forget. Quicker we learn, the better it is for us.

The world DID let us down… ARE letting us down… WILL let us down. This is another reality that the Church should learn. Quicker we learn, the better it is for us.

The most progressive and well-intended systems of the world for “just governance” of all people, HAVE let us down…ARE letting us down…WILL let us down. Quicker we learn, the better it is for us.

It may sound very negative and pessimistic. Could be. However, this is the ground reality. Quicker we learn, the better it is for us.
