Paul, who received a call from the LORD, to be His ambassador, desires something profound, which we all should take note of…
*”20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”* – Philippians 1:20-21. Paul desires that *he should never be ashamed of Christ, and that the Redeemer should be magnified in and through his life, whether it be in life, or in his death. What a desire!!!
Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky, a devout Russian Orthodox Christian, and the author of “Crime and Punishment” (1866) and “The Brothers Karamazov” (1880) who died on 9 February 1881, often included Christian characters and themes in his writings. He once said, “If someone proved to me that Christ is outside the truth, and that in reality the truth were outside of Christ, then I should prefer to remain with Christ rather than with the truth.”
Paul and Dostoyevsky expressed a deep desire to be with Christ, no matter what happens in their lives. Let us also desire, to follow the Redeemer, and may the LORD Jesus Christ be magnified in and through our lives.
"You don’t really know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you have."
