Thanksgiving is inseparably linked with gratitude. Gratitude is itself inseparably liked with seeing what we have on hand, and being appreciative about it, irrespective of whether it is big or small. Unless we see things and are appreciative about them, we cannot be grateful. Unless we are grateful, we cannot be thankful.
Therefore, the Word of God says thus in Psalms 100:1-5…“1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.
All that we possess was never our making. It is the gift of God through His grace. Hence, thanksgiving should flow naturally, for us, as Christians. Therefore, let us, SEE all that God has blessed us with, and be APPRECIATIVE about them, with grateful thanks to the One who gave it all.
"It is only with gratitude that life becomes rich!"
