The Bible has many things written that bring such great comfort to us as Jesus’ disciples, and Christ’s followers. Of all the things, the best is this truth that, God is with us, and that He truly cares for us, and our welfare.
Hebrews 4:14-16 has some comforting and uplifting words for us – “14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Firstly, Jesus our High Priest, has accomplished all that He set out to. Secondly, Jesus lived a fully human life, without any sin; hence He understands our struggles, storms, failures and sin.
Thirdly, Jesus invites us to approach Him for help, without any fear, in all our struggles. He is merciful and gracious, and we can and will find help in times of need, only in Him, and him alone.
“16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16
"The soul that loves God has its rest in God and in God alone. In all the paths that men walk in in the world, they do not attain peace until they draw [near] to hope in God."
