One of the sticking points against Christians is the exclusive claims about salvation. The Bible says, “6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” “12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” “5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,” – John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5-6
What others think and say, should not be of much concern to us. We ought to differ with them respectfully, for it is Christ like, to be respectful, towards others, who hold a different opinion from us. The LORD reiterates the same through Peter and Paul – “15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” “5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” – 1 Peter 3:15, Colossians 4:5-6
May the LORD Jesus Christ help us to hold our faith closely, and be His witness courageously, yet being gently and gracious in responding to any questions. Even so the LORD help us.
"In God’s judgment, compassion for helpless people demonstrates the goodness of his character."
