As a Christian, we know all too well that, we are weak and frail, with all the mental, physical and emotional strength one may possess. This is the truth about all human beings, regardless of whether one is a Christian or not. Honestly speaking, there is nothing to pride about, nor boast about us, as human beings, even though we have achieved great many things.
– “…life is fragile. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Everything we have in this world could be taken away in an instant. Still, we often believe we have some amount of control over our lives. Overwhelming fear invades when reality confronts us, leaving us frantically grasping for control we do not have. The harder we work to hold it together, the more fear threatens to enslave us.” – MaryLynn Johnson
The Word of God, the thoughts of our Creator in written form, has words of encouragement and inspiration, for all who feel feeble and frail. Only the LORD Jesus Christ, our Creator and our Redeemer has something, that can help us and guide through all our human life is.
– “3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” – Psalm 8:3-4
– “3 LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? 4 Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow.” – Psalm 144:3-4
When we look at ourselves, we can conclude without much struggle that, each of us are FRAIL in every sense of the word. Yet, when we look at the love of God showered upon us, and the way God deals with us, we can safely conclude that, we are very much FAVOURED by the LORD, because of His abundant grace and mercy.
We are utterly undeserving of any of His goodness upon us, and upon all that concerns us. Yet the LORD chooses to love us, and forgive us our sins, when we sincerely seek His face. The LORD Jesus will surely help us through all our struggles and storms.
– “11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. 12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” – Psalm 5:11-12
When we read the Word of God, which speaks with such clarity, and without any confusion whatsoever, it tells us about God’s love, care and concern for us. How wonderful is our LORD! When we realise this, we can’t but shout out aloud that we are FRAIL YET we are FAVOURED of the LORD God Almighty! HalleluYah!!!
"The miracle that God preformed in parting the Red Sea was something Israel could see unfold right in front of them. His protection was immediately evident and tangible. God’s protection over our lives may not appear in the same way today, but he has not stopped parting the Red Seas in our lives...A war between life and death ensued in my heart that night while I slept. But God not only protected my life, he graciously protected me from the fight. The battle was not mine. There was nothing I could do to guard myself. And while I rested in the safety of his hands, he fought for me."
