A torch is meant to show us the way in darkness. Only a fool uses it in the day. So also, Doctrines and Ecclesiastical positions. They are there to help us understand things, and lead us into a relationship with the LORD.
For a Christian, a living and dynamic relationship with the LORD is essential and invaluable. This speaks about our heart, its changed status and the transformed life. Mere belief in doctrines doesn’t make that essential transformation in one’s life.
