Each of us, as the disciples of Jesus, are placed in a certain place, with a purpose. We are to be a blessing to the people where we are. Many times we seek the LORD, to know, what He wants to do with our lives.
We should look for the talents and the abilities that the LORD blessed us with, and then start using them for the glory of God, and for the blessing of His people – “11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” – Ephesians 4:11-12
What is our place and purpose in the kingdom of God? What we all can do is, give our TIME, TALENTS, RESOURCES – MONEY and MATERIAL for the work of the LORD. Let us remember always that, – “1 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” “8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.” “10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.” “11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.” – Psalms 24:1, Haggai 2:8, Psalms 50:10, Job 41:11
All that we have is God’s, and it He who owns everything, rightfully. Therefore, let us seek to serve the LORD with all that we have, faithfully and obediently. May the LORD be glorified, and His people be blessed through us.
"I've heard people say, "I want more of a heart for missions." I always respond, "Jesus tells you exactly how to get it. Put your money in missions - and in your church and the poor - and your heart will follow."
